Lafert North America brings to market the finest in efficient IEC metric & NEMA compatible PM motors, along with other premium Italian made products, such as; Euromotori Flame proof motors, Sacemi Coolant Pumps and the SITI Gearboxes. Headquarters in Mississauga Ontario (just outside of Toronto) with distribution and warehousing across Canada and the USA, we have supplied IEC metric motors to Canada, the United States and Mexico since 1989. 

Lafert NA offers an extensive range of quality products combined with an outstanding service level. Replacing oddball foreign motors, that are sometimes costly to repair and difficult to source is one of Lafert North America’s specialties.

 Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic individual capable of working in a productive environment with minimal supervision for 8 hours between 7:30am to 6pm. Key responsibilities include picking, building, packing and shipping motors, gearboxes and coolant pumps.

To succeed in this position having a mechanical aptitude is a great starting point! We do provide training and development along the way.

Job/Skills Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, dexterity
• Mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Able to lift up to 75lbs on a regular basis
• Good communication skills 
• Attendance at annual inventory count
• Basic computer skills, email, spreadsheet data entry etc.
• Familiarity with shipping software, customs etc.
• Keen to support the warehouse team as needed

Other beneficial skills

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components an asset
• Familiarity with electric motors an asset
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing and distribution setting an asset
• Reach truck certification an asset
• Health and Safety certification an asset
• Being vaccinated against Covid-19 is strongly encouraged
